Hello everyone!
This is my latest project: Draco, a stylized pirate character designed to convey confidence, elegance, and menace through shape language and colour. From the very beginning, the goal was to create a strong, readable silhouette with a bold personality.
The character was first sculpted in ZBrush, focusing on exaggerated, stylised proportions to enhance attitude and presence. After that, I completed the full 3D pipeline, including retopology, baking, and hand-painted texturing.
The textures were inspired by the visual style of Arcane, with an emphasis on painterly brush strokes, controlled colour contrast, and stylised material definition. Special attention was given to the cape, armour details, and accessories to reinforce Draco’s pirate identity and narrative.
This project was a very enjoyable experience for me, as I really loved every stage of the process and used it as an opportunity to push my skills in stylisation, character design, and hand-painted textures.
Special thanks to Ronald for creating the character’s logo and adding an extra layer of identity to the project.
I hope you enjoy the final result, and thank you for taking the time to check out my work.
